Company in
Prague

A Czech company, registered online, without the paperwork on your side.

The Czech Republic is an EU member state with a stable legal system, low entry costs and a central location. The most popular company form is the s.r.o. (limited liability company): it can be owned by a single foreign shareholder, needs very little share capital and is simple to run.

We take care of the whole registration: the company documents, the notary, the filing with the Commercial Register and a registered office in Prague. You tell us what you need, we prepare everything, and you either sign in person or send us a power of attorney.

After registration we can also help with the data box for communication with the authorities, VAT, a bank account and accounting, so you have one partner for the whole setup. Support is available in English, Russian, Ukrainian, Romanian, Georgian and Lithuanian.

What happens at each step

1. You tell us about your business

A short online form: your planned activity, the shareholders and the directors. We reply with a fixed quote and confirm which company form fits.

2. We prepare the documents

We draft the articles of association, the notarial paperwork, the trade licence application and the agreement for the registered office. You review and approve them.

3. Notary and registration

The documents are signed at the notary, by you or by your representative, and filed. The company is registered within 60 minutes after signing.

4. You start operating

You receive your company ID (IČO). Next come the data box, VAT, the bank account and accounting, whichever you need.

Sign in person or by power of attorney

You do not need to travel. Registration can also be done with a notarial power of attorney.

How you signHow it worksWhat you provide
In personYou come to Prague and sign at the notary together with us. The company is registered within 60 minutes after signing.Your presence in Prague
Power of attorneyno travelYou send us a power of attorney. One of our representatives opens the company on your behalf at the notary.A legalised power of attorney, translated into Czech. We email you the template.

If you choose the power of attorney, you send us a legalised power of attorney translated into Czech. One of our representatives then opens the company on your behalf at the notary, and you receive the registration documents electronically.

Registered
office

Every Czech company needs an address in the Czech Republic.

Your company must have a registered office in the Czech Republic, and official mail is delivered there. We provide a real business address in Prague with mail handling. The first year is included in the s.r.o. and a.s. packages, and renewal is €190 per year.

Data box
(datovka)

Official communication with Czech authorities, handled for you.

A data box (datová schránka) is the official electronic mailbox of a Czech company. The tax office, courts and other authorities send their official messages there, and some messages carry deadlines that start running when the message is delivered or opened.

We obtain access to your company's data box. Getting it is free and it is issued on the spot at the post office, during your visit to Prague. After that, official communication reaches us, is explained to you in your language and is answered on time, so you do not have to log in, translate or worry about missed deadlines.

VAT &
EU VAT ID

A full VAT registration, or only an intra-community VAT code. You choose.

Many companies do not need to become full VAT payers right away. If you only trade inside the EU, an EU (intra-community) VAT ID may be enough. If you sell in the Czech Republic or want to reclaim Czech VAT, full VAT payer registration is the right route. We explain the difference, register the company for the option you pick and, if needed, file the VAT returns.

VAT payerfull VAT registrationThe company charges and reclaims Czech VAT and files periodic VAT returns. It fits companies that sell in the Czech Republic or to VAT-registered customers.from €150

Bank
account

Pay €900 only if the account is opened.

Opening a Czech business bank account normally requires your physical presence. The exception is Revolut and Wise, if they agree. We prepare the file and open accounts at up to 2 banks, with airport pick-up and accommodation included. In about 90% of cases the account is opened on the same day as the bank appointment.

Ready-made
companies

Skip the registration. Take over an existing Czech company and start trading right away.

A ready-made company is an existing Czech s.r.o. or a.s. that you take over by buying the shares. Instead of waiting for a new registration, you become the owner of a company that already has a company ID.

Questions?

The most common questions about setting up a Czech company.

Do I need to be physically present to register a company?

No. You give us a power of attorney, legalised and translated into Czech, and one of our representatives opens the company on your behalf. We email you the power of attorney template. You can also sign in person if you prefer.

How fast is the registration?

Your company is registered within 60 minutes after the documents are signed at the notary. Preparing the documents usually takes a few days, depending on how quickly we receive your details. If you visit Prague, the company, the bank account and the data box can all be done in 2 working days.

What is the minimum share capital?

For an s.r.o. it is CZK 1, and a capital of up to CZK 20,000 does not have to be deposited in a bank. For an a.s. it is CZK 2,000,000 (about €80,000): at least 30% (CZK 600,000, about €24,000) must be paid in when the company is created and the rest within one year.

Can a foreigner own 100% of a Czech company?

Yes. Non-residents can be sole shareholders and directors of a Czech s.r.o. There is no requirement for a local partner.

What is included in the s.r.o. price?

€890 covers the company documents, notary services, Commercial Register filing and a registered office in Prague for one year.

What is the difference between s.r.o. and a.s.?

An s.r.o. is simpler and cheaper to run, with minimal capital. An a.s. suits larger ventures, requires higher capital and a more formal governance structure, and allows issuing shares.

Do I get local assistance?

Yes. Local assistance such as airport pick-up and accommodation is included, so you have no hassle. You can reach us in English, Russian, Ukrainian, Romanian, Georgian and Lithuanian.

What is a data box (datovka) and do I need one?

A data box is the official electronic mailbox used to communicate with Czech authorities such as the tax office. Companies are expected to have one. We obtain access so that official messages reach us and are handled on time, in your language.

Do I need to register for VAT?

Not always. You can become a full VAT payer, or only obtain an EU (intra-community) VAT ID if you trade inside the EU. We help you pick the option that fits your business.

Do I need a Czech address?

Yes, every Czech company must have a registered office in the Czech Republic. We provide one in Prague, and the first year is included in the s.r.o. and a.s. packages.

Can you also open a bank account for the company?

Yes, but it requires your physical presence in Prague. If you visit, the account is opened in about 90% of cases on the same day as the bank appointment. See our bank account page for the process, the Revolut and Wise exception and the support we give during your visit.

What is a mandate agreement?

A written agreement under which we act on your behalf for a defined service, for example representation before authorities or accounting filings.

What happens after the company is registered?

You receive your company ID (IČO). Then we can set up the data box, VAT, the bank account and accounting, so you can start operating.
