Ready-made
companies
Take over an existing Czech s.r.o. or a.s. and start trading right away. Support in English, Russian, Ukrainian, Romanian, Georgian and Lithuanian.
What is a
ready-made company?
An existing Czech company that you take over.
A ready-made company (also called a shelf company) is an s.r.o. or a.s. that is already registered in the Czech Commercial Register. You buy the shares, become the owner and the director, and the company is yours.
It is useful when you need a company immediately, when you want an existing legal entity, or when you need a specific share capital or trade licence. For most new businesses a new s.r.o. for €890 is also quick, so we help you choose the better route.

What does not
transfer with the company
Buying a company does not move its bank account or its VAT status.
- The bank account does not transfer. The shares change hands, but the bank does not hand its account over to the new owner. Opening an account for a company you have bought works like applying for a new account: the bank reviews you and the company again.
- The VAT status may be cancelled. If the company was a VAT payer, the status can be cancelled after the transfer. If you need VAT, we can apply for it for the company.
This is why a ready-made company is not faster for banking or VAT than a new one. The company itself is available immediately; the account and the VAT status follow their own procedures. See how bank account opening works.
How it
works
Four steps from choice to ownership.
| 01 | You choose a company | Pick a company from the list, or tell us what you need and we look for a match. |
|---|---|---|
| 02 | We prepare the transfer | The share transfer agreement and the documents for the change of owner and director. |
| 03 | Notary | The agreement is signed at the notary, by you or by your representative with a power of attorney. |
| 04 | The register is updated | The new owner and director are recorded, and the company is yours. |
You do not need to travel. You can sign in person or give us a legalised power of attorney translated into Czech, and we email you the template.
After the
transfer
We can set up the rest, as for any Czech company.
- Data box: free and issued on the spot at the post office.
- Bank account: opened at up to 2 banks for €900, only on success. It requires your presence in Prague. See how bank account opening works.
- VAT or EU VAT ID, and accounting with local accountants who speak your language.
Questions?
About buying a ready-made Czech company.
What is a ready-made company?
A ready-made (shelf) company is an existing Czech s.r.o. or a.s. that is already registered. You buy the shares, become the owner and the director, and can start trading.
Who is it for?
Anyone who wants a company right away or who prefers an existing legal entity, for example investors, holdings or businesses that need to sign a contract soon.
Is a ready-made company cheaper than a new one?
Not necessarily. A new s.r.o. with us costs €890 and is registered within 60 minutes after signing at the notary. A ready-made company is for cases where you want an existing company, a certain capital or trade licences in place.
What do the prices include?
The prices include the share transfer and notary services. Availability changes often, so ask us for the current list.
Do I need to be in Prague to buy one?
No. As with a new company, you can sign in person or give us a legalised power of attorney translated into Czech.
Can you also open a bank account and a data box for it?
Yes. After the transfer we can arrange the data box and the bank account, and help with VAT and accounting. Opening a bank account requires your physical presence.
Is the bank account transferred with the company?
No. Buying the shares does not transfer the bank account. Opening an account for the company works like applying for a new one, and the bank reviews the new owner and the company again.
Does the VAT status stay with the company?
Not necessarily. The VAT status can be cancelled after the transfer. If you need VAT, we can apply for it for the company.
Is there a history of debts?
We list the status of each company in the table. Ask us for the details of the company you are interested in before you decide.
